- Is a UC Berkeley graduate and a professional architect who came of age when building small and “being Green” was the norm, even though it wasn’t called that at the time.
- Has 50-odd years of experience in the field of Architecture working both independently and with a number of firms on both the West and East Coasts as a designer, project manager, and Quality Assurance Officer, responsible for various commercial and residential projects.
- Is a long-time member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).
- Is a co-founder of Chesapeake Cottages LLC, established in 2016 to market designs for small houses reflecting traditional values and contemporary technology.
- Believes that every successful construction project maintains a blend of creativity, science, and budget, to achieve an effective balance among quality, quantity, and cost.
